This autumn, the Museo MEAM presents one of the most anticipated events in the international art calendar: Figurativas 2025, the exhibition resulting from the prestigious international competition of figurative painting and sculpture organized by the Fundació Privada de les Arts i els Artistes.

Since its creation in 2006, the Figurativas competition has become a key platform for the promotion and recognition of living figurative artists worldwide. In this new edition, the jury —made up of renowned figures from the international art scene such as Antonio López, Miriam Escofet, Roberto Ferri, Guillermo Lorca, Jeremy Mann, Vincent Desiderio, Nick Alm, Daniela Astone, Amaya Gúrpide, among many others— has selected, from thousands of submissions, the works that best reflect the vitality and diversity of contemporary figuration.

Figurativas 2025 is much more than a competition: it is a showcase of trends, a meeting point between different generations and cultures, and a living map of the current state of figurative art. The exhibition brings together established masters and emerging voices who, through their unique vision, are helping to write the history of figurative art in the 21st century.

With this exhibition, the Museo MEAM reaffirms its commitment to defending an artistic language that, far from fading away, continues to renew itself and connect with audiences in a direct and deeply moving way.
