Tribute to Astor Piazzolla | Saturday Classics
Beyond its spectacular collection of contemporary figurative painting, the European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) organizes a wide range of activities and initiatives. One of these is the classical music series held every Saturday afternoon.
On this occasion, we will feature the artists:
Rafael Dengra, violin.
Fedor Veselov, piano.
WORKS BY: Piazzolla.
PROGRAM:
The program offered today by these experienced musicians is entirely dedicated to Astor Piazzolla, with the intention of making a commemorative tribute to this important Argentine composer recognized worldwide. A selection of the composer's best known themes, such as “Adiós nonino”, “Libertango” or “Verano Porteño”. With pieces that have been revised and arranged by the musicians themselves.
Rafael Dengra, born in Buenos Aires, began his studies with violinist Alejandro Elijovich. In Barcelona he studied with the prestigious violinist Ala Voronkova. Graduated from the Liceu Conservatory in 1997 and winner of competitions such as Mitsubishi and Arjau. He performs in several countries as concertmaster and soloist. In 2004 the composer Esteban Benzecry dedicated to him a concert as soloist, which he premiered on a tour of South America with the OCE. Winner by competition of the position of concertmaster of the Orquestra Sinfónica de Huelva. He is currently concertmaster of the Camerata Mediterranea, conducted by Maestro Guerassim Voronkov. Together with violinist Ala Voronkova, he is also a member of the Glinka Quartet and the Moz-Art Violin Duo.

All tickets include access to both the exhibitions and the concert.

If tickets are sold out online, they can be purchased at the museum’s box office depending on availability. In this case, it is recommended to book in advance by calling 933195693 or emailing taquillas@meam.es

Seats are assigned according to the order of reservation. No seat changes will be allowed once assigned.

Entry to the concert hall will take place between 17:50 and 18:00. Once the concert begins, no further entry will be allowed.

The exhibition can be visited either before or after the concert, keeping in mind that the museum closes at 20:00.

The exhibition tour takes approximately 45 minutes.

Showing your ticket or reservation on your mobile device is sufficient; printing is not necessary.

The museum reserves the right to cancel any unpaid reservation 5 minutes before the start of the concert. Therefore, we recommend arriving at the box office 30 minutes early.

For advance ticket purchases: no refunds will be available after 18:00. If the user has not notified the museum of their delay or absence before the concert, the ticket may be reassigned to another visitor starting from 18:05.
