    Singing the Recitative

The history of opera through the recitative, told by Italian maestro Massimo Iannone, an internationally renowned vocal coach, accompanied by three outstanding sopranos —Aseel Massoud (Syria), Carolina Fajardo and María Isart (Spain)— and the Russian pianist Olga Kobekina, forms the core of a unique concert that blends emotion, knowledge, and musical beauty.

This event offers a captivating journey through the world of melodrama, from its origins in the 17th century to the 20th, with the recitative as its guiding thread. This expressive device, so characteristic of opera, will serve to weave together music and narration, allowing the audience to discover how the genre evolved and how emotions have been shaped through the singing voice. The most iconic arias and recitatives of the operatic repertoire will be performed live, in a format that merges the refined and the popular, the educational and the emotional.

Massimo Iannone will not only coach the performers vocally but will also act as narrator, sharing anecdotes, historical insights, and fascinating trivia from the operatic world. His storytelling will not be a lecture, but a lived experience interwoven with music, making “Singing the Recitative” an immersive event designed for opera lovers and newcomers alike.
