Paul is born in San Sebastián in 1979. With a superior level education in piano jazz, blues was and still is his great passion. His first contact with this genre was through the british rhythm & blues bands of the 60's. he has been performing since he was 15 and nowadays he is totally inmersed in the pianistic tradition of blues, mastering styles like the "stride" or the "boogie woogie". In 2011 he published his first solo record "tracks" a CD with piano and voice with the label Gaztelupeko Hotsak.

Alongside his band he has participated in different blues festivals for five consecutive years, he has performed in the prestigious Festival de Jazz de San Sebastián. In the summer of 2007 the band also published their first record.

Amongst his influences there are figures such as Alan Price, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roosevelt Sykes, Memphis Slim, Otis Spann, Sunnyland Slim, Dr John, Professor Longhair or James Booker

All thought his already long tragectory, Paul San Martín has collaborated with artists of great relevancy like Nico Wayne Toussaint, Otis Grand, Gerry Hundt, Lluís Coloma, James Armstrong, Ñaco Goñi, Slam Allen, Sax Gordon, Chris Ruest or the legend of blues, Billy Boy Arnold. In 2013, Paul edited, again with the company Gaztelupeko Hotsak, a work in piano and voice named “Paul’s Mood”, a new pianistic inmersion in the different styles of blues.

In 2023 he was a winner, with the band Noa & The Hell Drinkers of the European Blues Challenge taken place in Chorzów (Poland).

Paul comes directly from San Sebastián to take part in the MEAM's cycle of Fridays Blues & Boogie Woogie piano meeting.

A pianist from Barcelona with classical education, Sister Marion (Miriam Aparicio) is seduced by afro-american music with roots. Her first steps in the piano blues are alongside the pianists Lluís Coloma and Julio Lobos.

Years later she becomes a pianist, singer and director of her own gospel group Masoulfield which many reputable names of the musical scene go through. She has been a pianist in Tota Blues Band with whom she has participated in many national festivals and she has also become the pianist of Big Mama Montse, with whom they perform a repertoire of the great divas of blues in an acoustic setting that has taken them to many festivals and performances through Spain. She is also part, as a pianist and singer, of the female trio Womblues alongside Big Mama and Sweet Marta, a band formed only by women.
