A concert by Chino Swingslide presenting his album “Wake Up”, featuring original lyrics that, together with Manuel López Poy’s talk “What Do the Blues Tell Us About?”, offer a musical and visual journey through the history of the African American people, exploring their most representative musical expression—the blues—and the stories told through its songs.

“What do the blues tell us about?” Everyday realities; lives marked by poverty and racism; collective tragedies; intimate obsessions; hidden sexual desires; drugs and alcohol; lives broken by hopelessness; and the search for happiness—or at least something resembling it.

A vibrant and passionate musical performance by guitar master Chino Swingslide who, through his instrument and voice, explores the common elements, the most recurring themes and the deeper subjects addressed in blues songs, and how they have evolved over time.

• All tickets include access to the exhibitions, the concert and one beer. You must arrive between 5:00 pm and 5:50 pm.
• Seats are assigned according to the order in which reservations are made. Once seats have been assigned, it will not be possible to change your seat location.
• Access to the concert hall will be available from 5:40 pm to 6:55 pm. Once the concert has started, no admission to the concert hall will be permitted.
• The exhibition must be visited before the concert. We recommend arriving at around 5:00 pm.
• The exhibition visit takes approximately 45 minutes.
• There is no need to print your ticket.
• The museum reserves the right to cancel any unpaid reservation 5 minutes before the concert begins. We therefore recommend arriving at the ticket desk 30 minutes in advance.
• For tickets purchased in advance, refunds will not be possible after 6:00 pm. If the ticket holder has not informed the museum of their delay or inability to attend before the concert, the tickets may be reassigned to another visitor from 6:00 pm onwards.
