David “Chef Dave” Sánchez and Balta Bordoy have been exploring African American roots music for years, and since 2017 they have performed together a repertoire of blues along with old, dark songs, avoiding clichés and familiar formulas.

They revisit songs by artists such as Slim Harpo, Lazy Lester, Tarheel Slim or Jesse Fortune, originally recorded in the 1950s and 60s on labels like Excello, Sun, Chess or Vee Jay, in cities such as New Orleans, Memphis or Chicago—electrifying traditional acoustic music to give it a more contemporary and personal character.

• All tickets include access to the exhibitions, the concert, and one beer. You must arrive between 5:00 pm and 5:50 pm!

• Drinks are not allowed inside the concert hall.

• If tickets are no longer available online, they may be purchased at the museum’s box office depending on availability. In this case, it is advisable to book in advance by calling 933195693 or by emailing taquillas@meam.es

• Seats are assigned according to the order of reservations. No seat changes will be possible once assigned.

• Access to the concert hall will take place from 5:40 pm to 6:00 pm. Once the concert has started, entry will not be allowed.

• The exhibition can be visited either before or after the concert, bearing in mind that the museum closes at 8:00 pm.

• The exhibition tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.

• Showing the voucher or booking on your mobile phone is sufficient; no printing is required.

• The museum reserves the right to cancel unpaid reservations 5 minutes before the concert begins. For this reason, we recommend arriving at the box office 30 minutes in advance.

• For tickets purchased in advance: after 6:00 pm it will not be possible to request a refund. If the ticket holder has not notified, prior to the concert, their delay or inability to attend, the tickets may be reassigned to another visitor from 6:05 pm onwards.
