    MEAM is one of the most exciting contemporary art galleries in Barcelona. Every Saturday night you can experience excellent performances of classic music in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with a unique ambiance.

    The Saturday evening concerts in MEAM are held in exceptionally beautiful Renaissance buildings, the Palau Gomis.

    • Each concert starts at 18.00. We recommen to be there 1.5 hours earlier to visit the museum.

    Maria Casado, soprano
    She was born in Palma de Mallorca (Spain). In 2004 he obtained the Canto Honor Mention of the Municipal Conservatory of Music of Barcelona. She continued her studies of vocal technique with Mtra Ana Mª González and a repertoire with Mtro Enrique Ricci. She has worked with the teachers Raúl Giménez and Eduard Giménez and attended lectures with Cheryl Studer, Chris Merritt and Nancy Argenta.
    Specialized in Italian repertoire, she has stood out in roles such as Gilda de "Rigoletto" by Verdi, Rosina from "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" by Rossini, Norina by "Don Pasquale" and Adina from "L'Elisir d'Amore" by Donizetti. This last year he debuted in Italy last August playing the role of Micaela ("Carmen", G. Bizet). She also sings for the first time in London last June, starred in "Rita" (G. Donizetti), a paper that debuted at the end of 2016 (Barcelona) under the artistic direction of Mtro Raúl Giménez.
    Among her latest successes are the Second Prize at the III International Singing Contest of Medinaceli "A DEARTE Future" and Finalist at the prestigious International Singing Contest of Trujillo (Peru).

     

    Viviana Salisi, piano

    She has been working for more than twenty-five years to accompany the vocal repertoire. She studied at the Conservatory of Manresa with Glòria Massegú and Ludovica Mosca, and at the Music School of Barcelona with Albert Attenelle. When she had finished piano studies, she specialized in accompaniment of lied and opera at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar (Germany) with the support of the Wardwell scholarship of the Humboldt Foundation. In this center she obtained the title of corrector.
    She has worked as a musical assistant at the Bad Hersfeld and Heidenheim opera festivals in Germany and in the "Opera in Catalonia" series of Friends of the Opera of Sabadell, as well as collaborating on time with institutions such as the " La Caixa ", the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Catalan Chamber Orchestra, Coral Cármina, among others.
    With several chamber ensembles, especially with duos with singers, he has performed throughout the Catalan territory. Being part of the Comic Opera of Barcelona, ??she has carried out an intense task of recovering the lyrical heritage of small format, which has been awarded the Serra d'Or de teatre 2013 Prize.
    Since 2001, year of creation of the center, she is a repertorist pianist at the Superior School of Music of Catalonia. At the same school, in 2013, she completed the master's degree in interpretation of Ancient Music. Since 2015, she is also a professor of the "Victòria dels Àngels" master's degree and a regular collaborator of the Friends of the Opera of Sarrià in his chamber opera season.
