    Piano Solo with Daria Piltyay

    Daria Piltyay is one of the most promising young pianists of her generation. She has established an award-winning international career as a concert pianist and regularly gives recitals in venues and music festivals worldwide. Major achievements include first prize at Manresa Competition, first prize at the Vilafranca International Competition, first prize at the Rome International Piano Competition, first prize in International Ricard Vines Competition and most recently first prize at the San Sebastian International Competition in 2015.

     

    Daria was born in 1990 in the city of Yekaterinburg (Russia) and began playing the piano at the age of 4. Two years later she entered the prestigious Mussorgsky Specialist Music School and began giving public performances. By the age of 10 she had been accepted into the class of the renowned teacher Sergey Beloglazov.

    At the age of 12 Daria gave her concerto with the Saratov Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Mozart’s concerto nº24. The performance was extremely well received and shortly afterwards she was accepted into the prestigious Gnessin Music School, in Moscow, studying under Elena Ivanova.

    In 2006 Daria moved to Barcelona to continue her musical studies with the world-renowned teacher Stanislav Pochekin, professor at Liceu Music Conservatory. Soon after she won the first prize at Manresa Competition and in the summer of the same year won the first prize of Vilafranca International Piano Competition.

    Since then, Daria has been giving recitals internationally at venues and music festivals, with a wide-ranging variety of repertoire. One of her most prominent programs include the complete Opus 25 Etudes of Chopin, which she performed during a recital in Italy at the Auditorium del Conservatorio di Musica di Cagliari.

    In 2015 Daria won the first prize in the prestigious San Sebastian International Piano Competition and in July of the same year obtained the IV BPA International Piano Award. In August she participated at the Quincena Musical Festival (Spain) and was offered a recital and an interview for El Diario Vasco as the winner of the San Sebastian Competition.

    In October of 2016 Daria obtained her master´s degree in Interpretation and Music Investigation in the Valencian International University. At the same time she won full scholarship for her master’s degree in Interpretation at the Liceu Music Conservatory in Barcelona.
