    Concert for an age with Jordi Casanova and Miquel Jorba

    Jordi Casanova, tenor.

    Born in Reus, he began studying violin and solos with Maria Massià and Carbonell. Later, he will begin his singing career at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Barcelona, ??under the mastery of Myriam Francheri and Manuel Garcia Morante. He obtains the superior title of singing in the Superior Conservatory of the Lyceum. He broadens his formation with the soprano Carme Bustamante. He has also worked with Cindee Sunner and Kurt Widmer.

    Graduated in Musicology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ??he has been a full professor of the Faculty of Psychology and Sciences of Blanquerna Education, University of Ramon Llull, Barcelona (1987-2000).

    In the field of opera he has performed, among others, the operas Il Giovedí Grasso, Rita, Don Pasquale, La Fille takes Régiment, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Le nozze di Figaro, Die Zauberflöte, Don Giovanni, Il Mondo della Luna, La Voltereta de Mayo and La Bèlle Helène.

    In the field of the Oratori has sung works of Bach, Haendel, Vivaldi, Mozart, Carpentier and a great number of Catalan authors of the baroque and classic period.

    He has recorded the CDs "Barroco Catalan of the XVIII century", "Mass in La Mayor" by Francesc Juncà, "Vocal Work of J.M.Ruera" and "La Polka Roja" operetta by A.Cohí Grau.

    He has sung in the main theaters and concert halls of Catalonia and Spain, and he has also performed in Germany, France, Andorra, Italy and Israel.

    Since 2001 he has regularly participated in the productions of the Gran Teatro del Liceo and in the Children's and Family programs of the same Theater.
