    ARTIST: Mar Esteve i Rodrigo – mezzo-soprano;
    Josep Buforn – piano

    WORKS BY: Enric Granados, Eduard Toldrà,
    Frederic Mompou, Manuel de Falla and Joaquín Turina,

    A dialogue between voice and piano through 20th-century Catalan and Spanish poetry to the present day. A journey through voice, word and piano in Catalan and Spanish song, from the first third of the 20th century to contemporary vocal creation. This recital focuses on the intimate relationship between voice, text and piano, in which the piano takes on a fully dialoguing and structural role, creating sound spaces and landscapes that constantly interact with the voice and poetic text.

    The programme establishes a dialogue between composers of Modernism and Noucentisme, such as Enric Granados, Eduard Toldrà, Frederic Mompou, Manuel de Falla and Joaquín Turina, and contemporary creators such as Albert García Demestres, showing the continuity and relevance of the genre. The poetic texts evoke dreamlike landscapes, natural spaces and contemplative atmospheres, and include poems by leading poets such as Joan Salvat-Papasseit, Josep Carner and Federico García Lorca. The linguistic proximity makes the song an immediate and accessible experience, without losing artistic rigour or demands.
