Opera Cycle, on Sunday afternoons, at the MEAM.

Summer Opera

The opera is a total art in which music, singing, poetry, plastic arts and, occasionally, dance come together. This complex alchemy makes each function an extraordinary spectacle, monopolizing the sight, hearing, imagination and sensitivity of the public, in which all human passions are at stake. During the month of July the MEAM presents a cycle of three opera sessions on Sunday afternoons. We want to offer you not only music, but also to start a journey inside the music and everything that surrounds it. The entrance includes a visit to the exhibitions of the museum that can be accompanied by a glass of Spanish red wine.

Elisir D'amore · July 1 at 6:00 p.m.

A love story that tells us about the difficulty of communication between human beings. But above all, it is a comedy performed on the stage millennial topics of both sexes: the afflictions and youthful insecurities of Nemorino, the pragmatism and the feminine frivolity of Adina. The most intimate emotions of the two protagonists, accompanied by an extraordinary theatrical strength.

Adina, Soprano Marga Cloquell

Nemorino, Tenor Nestor Losan

Narrator, Romina Krieger

Piano, Olga Kobekina

La Traviata · July 15 at 6:00 p.m.

The essence of the Opera Verdiana in a unique act. Violetta will discover love and passion in the arms of a young man of good family, Alfredo Germont. The social differences between the two will end their love, along with Violetta's deadly illness. A human Opera, a modern tragedy.

Violetta Valery, Soprano Laura Del Rio

Alfredo Germont, Tenor Giorgio Elmo

Narrator, Romina Krieger

Piano, Olga Kobekina

La Bohéme · July 29 at 6:00 p.m.

One of the most beautiful and convincing works of Puccini, with a balance achieved in all its aspects. An excellent script that mixes comedy and drama, going through the perfect musical definition of the characters and their different relationships and emotions, up to one of the best scenes of death in the history of opera. The emotion of the first kiss, the disappointment of a lost encounter, the ardor of jealousy, hope, nostalgia and loss: all this is the Bohéme.

Mimì, Soprano Cristina Escolà

Rodolfo, Tenor Nestor Losan

Narrator, Romina Krieger

Piano, Olga Kobekina
