Chilean artist Guillermo Lorca will hold a live painting session inside MEAM Museum, as part of his exhibition "La Casa de Arena." A chance to watch the artist work up close.

What does the ticket include?
Access to this event includes the full visit to "La Casa de Arena" and the rest of MEAM Museum's permanent collection, for the selected day.

Saturday September 26th and Sunday September 27th, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, both days.

The ticket is valid for a single day — you'll need to select Saturday the 26th or Sunday the 27th when booking.

Time slots
To ensure a good visiting experience, access is organized into time slots with limited capacity, available for each of the two days:

• 4:00pm – 5:00pm
• 5:00pm – 6:00pm
• 6:00pm – 7:00pm
• 7:00pm – 8:00pm

Access to each slot must take place within the first 15 minutes of its scheduled time.

• The live painting session will take place in the Sala Noble, a space with limited capacity. Within each time slot, access to the room may be controlled or staggered in small groups, to ensure all visitors can enjoy good visibility of the artist at work.
• The artist will take brief scheduled breaks throughout the afternoon.
• This is a standing event, with no seating. To allow as many people as possible to enjoy the moment, visitors will rotate within the room during their time slot, so that everyone gets a chance to see the artist at work, whether up close or from a slightly further position. This event is open to the general public: the ticket allows you to watch Guillermo Lorca painting, but does not include personal interaction or conversation with the artist, who will be focused on his work throughout the session.

  How does the visit work? Do I see him painting first and then the exhibition? Yes, exactly. We recommend watching Guillermo Lorca paint live during your time slot first, and then visiting the “La Casa de Arena” exhibition afterward, at your own pace and with no time limit.

  How long can I watch the artist painting? You’ll be able to watch him during your reserved time slot (for example, if your ticket is for 4:00pm, you can watch him paint until 5:00pm). The room where he works has limited capacity, so the audience rotates every hour to give all visitors a chance to see him up close.

  Can I visit the exhibition before my slot and then go watch him paint? The ticket is designed for you to arrive during your reserved slot, watch the artist painting during that hour, and then enjoy the exhibition for as long as you like afterward. There’s no need to see the exhibition beforehand.

  Once my slot is over, can I stay in the museum as long as I want? Yes. Within the museum, you can stay as long as you like visiting the exhibition. The only time-limited part is access to the room where Guillermo Lorca is painting, since the audience rotates every hour due to capacity limits.

  What do the different times shown when buying (4:00pm, 5:00pm, 6:00pm, 7:00pm) mean? These are different entry time slots, not the duration of the full event. Each slot gives you access to watch the artist painting during that specific hour, since the room has limited capacity. Choose whichever slot best fits your schedule.

  Is there a student discount or any other reduced rate? The event has a single price of €18, with no specific discounts. You can buy your ticket and select your visit time slot at meam.es, under the Agenda section.

  Will I be able to get an autograph or have a book signed? Guillermo Lorca will be focused on his work throughout the session, so we cannot guarantee autographs or personal interaction as part of the event.

  If I arrive late for my slot, can I still get in? Access to each slot must take place within the first 15 minutes of its scheduled time. After that window, entry is not guaranteed.

  Can I change my ticket to a different date or time slot, or request a refund? No. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be changed to a different date or time slot once purchased.

  Where does the event take place inside the museum? In the Sala Noble at MEAM Museum, a space with limited capacity.

  Is this a seated event? No, it’s a standing event.

  Can I take photos or record video of the artist while he paints? Yes, you’re welcome to take photos and videos during your visit, always with respect for the space and other visitors.

  Can children attend? Yes, the event is open to all audiences. As it’s a standing event with limited capacity, we recommend considering whether it’s suitable depending on the child’s age.

  Do I need to print my ticket? No, simply showing it on your phone is enough to enter.
