Without a doubt, AUGUST THARRATS is the pioneer of Blues and Boogie Woogie piano in Catalonia. At the age of 4 he discovered the Blues listening to Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, Lionel Hampton...
He is a self-taught piano virtuoso, which has meant that he approached this music with humility, creating a very personal language. Perhaps for this reason, musicians such as Teddy Edwards, Gene "Mighty Flea" Connors, or B.B. King have praised him for his way of playing the blues.
An admirer of pianists from the Kansas City school such as Jay McShann, he is currently a prestigious bluesman on the national scene for his interpretative quality and honesty on stage.
With his flawless technique and undeniable feeling, he is a musician capable of captivating audiences with a personal style full of blues, boogie-woogie, and swing, with an enormous ability to communicate. With an unsurpassable live performance, LLUÍS COLOMA creates in each of his concerts a magical atmosphere from beginning to end, turning every show into a unique and unforgettable experience. With a devilish left hand and a talent for improvisation, Coloma achieves a solid and convincing sound. A great communicator, he immediately transmits his passion for this festive music to an enthusiastic audience. His great technique and virtuosity make him one of the leading exponents of blues and boogie woogie piano in Europe.
Lluís Coloma offers very personal music and a repertoire in which he perfectly combines tradition and originality, naturally and innovatively blending New Orleans music, rhythm & blues, boogie woogie, rock, and blues. An intense and energetic show, where the astonishing power of his piano envelops and captivates the audience, who quickly let themselves be carried away by the frenetic rhythms, the passion, and the feeling of Coloma’s performance, who lives each of his concerts as a total act. Fresh and direct music that sparks ovations and creates a hypnotic atmosphere capable of transporting the audience to thrilling journeys.
