The MEAM Creative Workshops are here: a new series of activities where figurative art is experienced with your hands, your palate and good company. These are unhurried gatherings, in small groups and inside the museum, designed for anyone who wants to approach painting without pressure or prior knowledge.

How a workshop works

All workshops follow the same journey, which is why each one can be enjoyed from start to finish:

• Look. It all begins with the art that lives in the museum. MEAM's figurative works are the starting point of every session.
• Create. Each participant paints their own 40 × 40 cm canvas, following a guided creative process. Acrylic paints, brushes, palettes, pencils and table protection: all materials are included.
• Taste. Every session includes food or drink from a local partner, because the best conversations often start around a table.
• Take it home. When you finish, you take the piece you've made with you. It's yours.

No painting skills needed. Just curiosity and a desire to spend a good time in a place unlike any other in Barcelona.

And this is only the beginning

The series will continue throughout 2026–2027 with new seasonal offerings: Christmas workshops in December, winter sessions inspired by the Mediterranean landscape or by light and shadow, and a spring event featuring poetry, art and live improvisation. We'll announce each date as it is confirmed.
