Friday, November 29, 6:00 p.m. VIII Fridays Blues & Boogie-Woogie Piano:
LLUIS COLOMA & ENMA FERNANDEZ
Lluis Coloma, piano. Enma Fernandez, piano, voiceWe finish the cycle of blues and boogie with two pianos with two incredible pianists of styles very different from each other.
Born in Barcelona, ??Lluís Coloma is one of the most active and renowned pianists on the world stage in the field of blues and boogie woogie. Influenced from a young age by the albums of Jerry Lee Lewis, Roosevelt Sykes and Alan Price, Lluís gradually moves away from classical piano studios to devote himself exclusively and self-taught to rock and roll. Soon he shows an amazing ability for blues and boogie woogie. Lluís has been invited to numerous international festivals, where his performances are always welcomed with great cheers from an enthusiastic audience. His music can be heard throughout Spain in festivals and venues as renowned and emblematic as the Café Central de Madrid, Jamboree de Barcelona, ??the San Javier Jazz Festival, Barcelona Jazz Festival, ViJazz Penedès, Blues Festival Cerdanyola, among others, but also in countries such as the United States, France, Great Britain, Malaysia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland or Serbia.
Enma Fernández is a pianist, singer and director living in Barcelona with a very intense career on the stage, where precisely, he shows that it is pure spectacle and leaves no one indifferent.
His first project "Lewis Enma & The Bcn Fireballs", where he paid tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis, was a live success, where the staging and musical and gestural interpretation of the classics of the 50s have led him to do more than 100 concerts every year.
As a result of this success, he has started with his most personal project where he has known how to surround himself with the best musicians of the Barcelona scene to form a solid formation.
Rhythm and blues, swing, traditional jazz and rock’n’roll shake hands to capture some of the influences he has had throughout his career. A repertoire in which we can find songs by those great artists of the 40’s and 50’s performed with a personal and forceful style, as well as their own material.
A challenge of titans between two great pianists such as Lluis Coloma and Enma Fernandez
