Friday's Blues & THE BOOZAN DUKES

Friday 7 December, 18.00 h: Creole stomp, calypso, mardi-gras, second line, gospel & voodoo blues with:

Paul Sessions, voice, trumpet, Emma Gawlinski, tenor sax, transverse flute. Pon Jubany, guitar dobro. George Robarts Arnold, tuba, Quico Hernandez, washboard

    Ladies and Gentlemen, come closer!

From somewhere between Barcelona and New Orleans, The Boozan Dukes, specters that appeared in the 40s, come to preach, celebrate, and celebrate the fiery rhythms of voodoo blues, the stomp criollo, the swing or the calypso.

Out of the bell of an old gramophone, you will be spellbound listening to the roars of Paul Sessions, great-great grandson of a Texan apostle, telling in Creole French stories of rogue loves, popular canteens and good wine. These voodoo howls, harmonized with the pious choirs of their musicians, will bewitch all the sinful souls, leading them to convert to the faith of lindy-hop and the moans of gospel.
